Actress Nhira unveils school

By Latwell Nyangu South Africa based actress Anne Nhira has launched a studio called Anne Studios International aimed at developing talent from grassroots levels. The project, which has its headquarters in Zimbabwe, focuses on grassroots talent discovery, expo-sure, development, training and promotion, according to former Studio 263 actress. Speaking to H-Metro from her base in South Africa, Anne said the project covers film, theatre, dance, music production, poetry, fashion, modelling and sports, talent identification and training. “The initiative promotes the harnessing of the innate African youth talent and it’s time for Africa to shine “It’s a talent development initiative that focuses on grassroots talent discovery, development, expo-sure, preservation and promotion.” Anne also told H-Metro that they were determined to identify untapped talent in Africa and develop individuals. “Anne Studios International was incorporated in Zimbabwe early 2014 and the bulk of the work done so far has been largely to set up by entire administrative infrastructure and engage in strategic alliances with key stakeholders. “We already have representation in three countries, Zimbabwe (head office), South Africa and Mauritius.” She added: “We have managed to secure access to key players in the arts and entertainment world in South Af-rica, Nollywood and Hollywood. “It is our intention to expose the rainbow African talent to the world.” Anne rose to fame after her role in Studio 263 and has since featured in an SA soapie ‘The Rapist’.
